Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City is a key transport infrastructure project with a total investment of over VND 121.6 trillion and a length of approximately 159.31 km. It will enhance inter-regional connectivity, link industrial zones, seaports, and airports, and serve as a catalyst for economic development, while boosting the potential of the area to the west of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Ring Road 4 project in the Ho Chi Minh City area, passing through Tay Ninh province, has a total investment of over VND 43 trillion. It is expected to be completed in four years and will provide an additional connection to seaports and airports.
On the morning of October 15, the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the section of Ring Road 4 passing through the province. The route spans nearly 78 km—including 3.8 km within Ho Chi Minh City—stretching from Thay Cai Bridge in Hau Nghia Commune to Hiep Phuoc Port in Hiep Phuoc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
The project traverses 15 communes, including Hau Nghia, Duc Lap, Hoa Khanh, Ben Luc, Rach Kien, and My Loc. Land clearance for the project has reached 94%. Approximately 3,371 resettlement plots, covering a total area of nearly 75 hectares, will be provided to affected residents.
In the first phase, the road will feature four expressway lanes with a 25.5-meter-wide roadbed and a design speed of 100 km/h; frontage roads will also be constructed in certain sections. Upon full completion, the route will be expanded to eight lanes, with frontage roads consisting of at least two lanes and a design speed of 60 km/h.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Le Van Han, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, stated that the new route will facilitate better connectivity for goods—originating from the province’s industrial zones, production areas, and border gates—to seaports and airports. The project will also foster the development of industry, urban areas, commerce, and logistics services along the route.
Provincial leadership has directed the relevant units to accelerate construction progress while strictly overseeing project quality and the use of investment capital to prevent losses and waste.
